Sunday 03/02

Even though we have a common room with a dining table in our halls, most people still choose to eat in their rooms. There are a few of us that eat in the same room whilst watching television, but there are others who like to eat in their own rooms at their desks. I think the reason people do not eat in the common room is that we all eat at different times, and dont really want to sit alone in the common room. Also he fact that it is shared by 25 messy students often puts people off!

Today I've been looking at typical student food. Beans on toast is a staple diet for a student really! Its cheap and doesn't taste too bad! And you can also add a bit of luxury by having beans and sausages!

Today I have been looking at the kind of food I used to eat at home. I have made some of my favourite dishes that I miss. This has made me realise how expensive food is!

One of the things I miss from home is fish. We used to eat a lot of fish at home and I loved it. Its such a simple thing to cook, and I never realised that until now!

Missing posts - Friday 01/02

Sorry there have been a few posts missing, but my USB cable has been broken and I had to find another one from somewhere! Here is the photo from friday though.
I've started looking at the differences between food and my attitude to food at uni, and how its different from when I'm at home. The first thing that came to mind was how and where we eat dinner at uni. At home I was always made to sit around the table with the whole family with no television, whereas here we all sit in my friends bedroom on her bed whilst watching soaps! I also thought about the food I eat here, and the food I used to eat at home. Obviously the food at home was a lot nicer, as it was my parents buying it rather than me! So I've decided to try and make some of my favourite dishes from home and compare them with 'typical student food'. Im looking forward to having some nice food for once!
